Wearing Filipiniana under an academic gown
This is the part people get wrong, so it is worth a paragraph. Butterfly sleeves and an academic gown fight each other. A stiff organza sleeve will not fit down a fitted toga sleeve, and forcing it crushes the shape you paid for.
Two things solve it. Choose a softer fabric, satin or chiffon rather than organza, so the sleeve compresses and springs back. Or choose a dress with short, sculpted sleeves rather than tall standing ones. Either way, plan to take the academic gown off for photographs afterwards, which is when the Filipiniana actually gets seen.

Size and fit
Most pieces here are made to order, so your measurements are what we cut to. Take them in inches. If you are still growing, or the ceremony is months away, measure closer to the date and allow a little room through the bust and waist.
Philippine sizing runs smaller than American or Australian sizing, often by a full size, so order from your measurements rather than your usual label. If two sizes look close, ask about custom fitting.

Midi. It shows below the hem and reads as intentional. Floor-length disappears and catches on stairs.
Will butterfly sleeves fit inside toga sleeves?

Can I wear the same dress to prom and graduation?
