Filipiniana for Christmas parties and Noche Buena
Filipino Christmas runs long. Between the first company party in early December and the last family gathering after New Year, most people need more than one outfit. At least one of them has to look like something. A Christmas Filipiniana has to survive all of it. This collection gathers the pieces that suit the season: deep colours, a bit of shine, and shapes you can eat a full Noche Buena in.
It is drawn from across the store rather than made for December, so everything here stays available afterwards.
Choose by party
-
Company Christmas party
Usually the dressiest night of the month, and often with a colour theme. Euphy JB607 in emerald or Dara JB609 in maroon.
-
Noche Buena at home
You will be cooking, serving and sitting down late. A bolero set over your own clothes is more practical than a gown: Belle JP004 or Sabrina JP001.
-
Simbang Gabi
Early, cold and nine days long. Something covered and warm, worn over a plain dress. The bolero range does this job well.
-
New Year's Eve
Gold and shine are traditional for luck. Aleah JB611, or Princess MR888 if you want the full skirt.
Why a bolero is the useful purchase
If you only buy one thing for December, make it a bolero rather than a gown. A gown commits you to a single evening. A bolero goes over a dress you already own, over black trousers for the office party, or over a plain top for a family lunch. You get three outfits out of one purchase, and it packs flat if you are travelling home for the holidays.
The same logic applies to an alampay. Both are in our alampay range.
Colours that work in December
The obvious festive palette is red and green, and both are here. Thalia JP002 in powder blue is the quieter alternative.
Black is underrated for this season. Yen JB606 reads as evening rather than festive, which means you can wear it again in February. So does Vamola JB610.
Gold and champagne sit between the two. Mika JP003 in pink and gold brocade works for a party and again at a wedding.
Size and fit, and ordering in time
Christmas Filipiniana is the one purchase where the calendar decides for you.
December is the one month where timing beats everything. Made-to-order pieces need production time before they ship, and the weeks before Christmas are the slowest for international post. Order in October if you can, and check our shipping page for current timelines before you commit.
If you have left it late, our clearance page holds single pieces that ship from stock, and the in-stock Filipiniana range does the same.
Measure in inches and use the chart. Philippine sizing runs smaller than American or Australian sizing. Ask about custom fitting if you are between sizes.
Questions about Christmas Filipiniana
When should I order for December?
October for made-to-order pieces. November is tight. December means buying from stock.
Is red too much for a company party?
Not usually, unless the invitation sets a colour. Check first, because many Filipino companies assign one.
What works for Simbang Gabi?
Something covered and warm. A bolero or alampay over a plain dress, rather than a sleeveless gown.
Can I wear a bolero set without the matching skirt?
Yes, and many people do. A bolero over black trousers is a good office-party outfit.
Will these pieces still be available in January?
Yes. Nothing here is seasonal stock; it all lives in a permanent collection.
Can the whole family match?
See our couple and family sets, and order everyone together so the dye lot matches.
